Best Gymnastic Rings for Home Workouts
Updated 8 October 2026
Rings look innocent enough hanging from a bar. A slow ring push-up has a way of changing that impression.
New to rings? For home workouts in a dry indoor space, we’d start with 28 mm wooden gymnastic rings. Then choose the straps that suit you.
1. Choose your ring straps
Low for push-ups. Higher for pull-ups. All three strap systems let you change ring height—here’s how they differ.
Standard & Numbered
Quick-Adjust
Standard
Keep it simple.
Cam buckles give continuous adjustment, so you can fine-tune the height.
Numbered
Find your setting again.
Cam buckles plus numbered reference marks help you repeat a height at the same anchor.
Quick-Adjust
Switch heights with clips.
Move carabiners between matching attachment points. Adjustment is in fixed steps.
2. Choose your grip: 28 mm or 32 mm?
28 mm
Slimmer grip.
Our starting pick if you’re unsure.
32 mm
Fuller grip.
For those who prefer a thicker hold.
Same exercise options. Choose by feel. Compare 28 mm and 32 mm →
3. Check your home workout space
Room to finish the rep
Rows and push-ups need clear floor space; pull-ups need headroom. Check your full movement around walls, furniture and the ceiling.
A suitable anchor
Use a rack, bar or mount designed and installed for your ring exercises. Follow its manufacturer’s guidance; get qualified installation advice if unsure.
Enough strap reach
Cam-buckle straps: 4.5 m and selected 9 m options. Quick-Adjust: 2.6 m. Length includes the part around the support—check the product’s setup guidance against your required ring height.
What’s in your set?
Quick-Adjust also includes four carabiners.
