How Chris Hemsworth uses Gymnastic Rings to build his physique

Thor Hammer

For Chris, the well-known Aussie actor, best known for this role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, staying in shape for the big screen is a must.

Hemsworth’s transformations for roles have been renowned throughout the movie industry, and there’s been one secret that he has used to help him along the way, until now. Gymnastic Rings.

Throughout each workout Hemsworth executes various pullups, push-ups, and rows with alternative hand positions – such as underhand, overhand, mixed, wide, narrow, all executed with gymnastic rings.

And of course, the classic one-arm pull up while holding his Thor hammer.

And how long would be one of his workouts? Typically, no more than 1-hour, but performed at a high intensity, and taking adequate rest when needed.

Of course, it’s not just his gym rings workout that gets him into ‘Thor’ shape. Chris ensures his diet is strict and on-point by consuming a lot of lean proteins, such as chicken breast and fish to build muscle. Furthermore, to replace the energy burned during his workouts he ensures he tops up on carbs such as brown rice and sweet potatoes.

So, is it as simple as doing a few pull-ups on the rings and you’ll get a body like Hemsworth? Well, no. But if you’re looking for inspiration from the silver screen, you could do a lot worse than investing in a set of Atomic Iron Gymnastic Rings, as approved by Thor.
